Nicholas Hare Architects was started in 1977 and in 2004 the practice was reformed as a limited liability partnership. Three longstanding colleagues - Paul Baxter, Jayne Bird and Carol Lelliott - joined Nicholas and Sophie Hare as partners.

Nicholas Hare Architects was formed in 1977 and became a limited liability partnership in 2004. The practice now employs 67 people, 54 of whom are architects. In addition to our IT, admin and practice management departments, we also have dedicated marketing, graphic design and model-making staff.

We work from a single, studio-based office in North London ensuring that the professional ethos and spirit of learning that is evident in the work of the practice can be maintained consistently across all our projects.

We offer a comprehensive architectural design service from feasibility to completion and beyond. The practice has a history of achieving good value for our clients through attention to detail and the pursuit of good quality and low maintenance. Our portfolio includes projects large and small from diverse sectors, both new-build and refurbishment. Buildings for education have been a consistent theme throughout the practice's history, but the range of our work also covers schemes for the arts, office buildings and research facilities.
